The plan is to obtain single summary pages from OES/Todd (hopefully) of notable searches since 2000, scan them into .pdf files, post those files on the EDSAR yahoo site, so that only members can access them.
Then I will start threads with the bare details- First name or simply person, description, date(s) place, disposition. Then members can add their first person recollections from this search. Narratives will be composed from all this for posting on the ESARC website. No searches since 2000 are listed.
This is a venue for El Dorado SAR members to provide fill-in information and first-hand accounts of specific previous searches. After SAR302 posts the first item about a recent search, any SAR member is invited to add their comments/observations/feelings/experience as it relates to said search. The postings are then edited and posted to the ESARC website (edsar.org) for public viewing.

Good move. Like the idea of a place off the email list to gather recollections from SAR missions.
I see a technical glitch ahead. As proposed, the plan is to scan the paper EDSO search reports into PDF files and post the PDFs on the Yahoo site as a starting point. However, The Yahoo site has too little space to hold all the PDFs. The YahooGroups Files site only allows us 20MB and it's already 1/3 full. Possible solution: skip the scanning and PDFing entirely and just post a paragraph about each search here on the blog.
Paul- good point and as I have learned we don't have such documents to scan. So:
1) We will launch this soon from an unofficial list of past searches. Each new post will represent a past search. Members can log on and add their comments/recollections to this. A draft will be edited/composed for final review.
2) I have suggested that SAR Management develop a summary document, as the search is winding down. This would be "easily filled out" and facilitate easy entry into computer database.
Suggested blanks (fields) include:
0)subject e.g. missing infant girl; missing fisherman, overdue skier, etc etc.
1) Date of callout
2) Date of finish
3) Geographic identifier of PLS AND IC location
4. Case # (dispatch case #?) in lieu of subject name
5) Age
6) Gender
7) Occupation or endeavor (truckdriver, elderly citizen, berry picker, lone hiker, etc.
8) Key words as they relate to search (clues etc)
9) IC(s)
10) Types of assets used (SAR volunteers, equipment, outside agencies, # of EDSO staff)
11) # of volunteers involved
12) Land, weather, search conditions (3 fields?)
13) Pertinent other details
14) Disposition- found alive/dead/medical case; not found
15) Location in relation to PLS/ IC (in standard distance measurement)
16) Pertinent rescue/recovery details
17) Pertinent facts for further SAR learning
and the optional...

I am sure SAR Management can improve on this list and come up with a workable form.
